Electrical Panel “Fire” Causes Hospital Power Outage

Power was knocked out for a few hours at South Shore Regional Hospital last night after a minor electrical fire.
The health authorities twitter account indicated there were no injuries to patients or staff.
Members of the Bridgewater Fire Department rushed to take care of the situation around 9:00pm.
They were able to limit any serious damage because of their quick response.
Members of the Bridgewater Police Service were also on scene to support fire crews.
Some patients had to be moved to another floor due to the power outage.
It’s not known what caused the panel to short out.
