Barracudas Swim Team Looking To Decorate Town With Their Name

The Bridgewater Barracudas host swimming provincials this weekend at the O’Regan’s Subaru outdoor pool.

And they’re looking for your help.

The swim club is asking local businesses to post signs of support on their window fronts and road-side signs.

Mayor David Walker thinks it is an excellent idea for businesses and individuals.

“We all have our social media sites. It might be a great opportunity for us to flip our profile page to the ‘Cudas.”

He hopes businesses jump on board.

“The Barracudas established an unbelievable tradition of excellence in our community. I think they have provided wonderful opportunities for young people to grow as individuals.”

The Barracudas are chasing a sixth straight provincial championship.

Six hundred swimmers are expected to be in Bridgewater between Friday and Sunday.
