It only took 100 minutes for the Beach Boys concert in Liverpool to sell out.
Tickets went on sale at 10 this morning, and by 11:30 almost 2000 tickets were gone.
Steve Burns, Queens Place General Manager, says they couldn’t be happier.
“We had a good feeling,” he says. “Based on last year when we purchased the Blue Rodeo show, we had a little bit of history, but this went far above what our expectation was out of the gate”
Burns says attracting that many people to the area will benefit not only the Emera Centre but many local businesses.
“You know, we sell hotel rooms, and restaurants have people eating in them, and extra people get into the shops,” he says. “So, we’re really excited to be able to have this show for the folks.”
He says the success of this concert will go a long way in helping to attract other big acts to come to the South Shore.
The Beach Boys will hit the stage on June 30th.
