Bucks Home Building Centre in Bridgewater has been recognized as Home Hardware store of the year in Nova Scotia.
The business received the honour during a ceremony this week in Ontario.
A member of the managerial team, Ryan Buck, says it’s based on store appearance, community involvement and customer service.
He says it’s nice to be recognized.
The company was also nominated for national store of the year but fell short.
“Basically, there is 23 districts in Canada and one store from each district gets the top gold (award) and then it all comes down towho is going to win. It’s an honour, it means we’re doing things right.”
The store is currently in the middle of renovations, expanding by 12,000 square feet.
Work is expected to finish by September.
