A Bridgewater business is threatening to close because of ongoing construction in the downtown.
Helen Langille from the Mr. Surplus store says they have seen a 50 per cent decline in business.
She says it’s been tough to stay positive with construction on King Street.
“It has been devastating. People are complaining when they do come in about there being no parking.”
Langille says she would have liked to see construction delayed until the new year.
However, the town chose to begin removing the parkade before winter to allow road work to start in the spring.
