Bridgewater: Dexter Using 150 Tonne Crane To Remove South Parkade

The remainder of the South Parkade in Bridgewater will be removed on Sunday.

Dexter Construction will be bringing in a 150 tonne crane.

A portion of the parkade hangs over the LaHave River.

The specialized piece of equipment will help make sure no debris falls into it.

The size of the crane will cause a temporary street closure.

Further details will be released later this week.

Meanwhile, workers continue to cut the concrete deck.

It’s all part of phase one of Bridgewater’s Take Back The Riverbank project, which started November 2.
