A fundraiser for Crohns and Colitis Canada is returning to Lunenburg County for a second year.
Bridgewater will host one of six ‘Gutsy Walks’ in the Maritimes.
Last year’s event raised just over $18,000.
Spokesperson Jody O’Donnell says the diseases affect plenty of local people.
“Lunenburg County has one of the highest rates of Crohns and Colitis, or IBD, in the world.”
O’Donnell is hoping to get 200 participants for this years five kilometre walk or run.
He says they’re hoping to raise $25,000 this year.
