Bridgewater: Parks And Recreation Committee Gets New Youth Rep

An 11th grader from Bridgewater Junior-Senior High School is getting involved with the town.

Sixteen year-old Hannah Wilkie has been appointed as the new youth representative to the Bridgewater Parks and Recreation Committee.

She is co-president of her student council and was approached about the position.

Wilkie says her goal is to see students and the committee work together.

“For me, it was just delivering from the stuff we were doing in council and they had some ideas like the tulip garden. I asked if we could volunteer our student council to help plant the tulips.”

The position is for one year but Wilkie can be re-elected to the position in grade 12.
