Bridgewater Police Still Seeking Test Results For Catherine Burgoyne

Nearly four months after Bridgewater Police found the body of Catherine Burgoyne, they are still waiting for tests to confirm how she died.

Burgoyne was reported missing October 29.

The 58 year-old’s body was found November 2 just off North King Street.

Chief John Collyer says the medical examiner’s office hasn’t released test results.

“Unfortunately, some of those tests take a considerable amount of time to be processed. Until we get that back, we can’t determine a cause of death.”

The process can take longer than six months.

Collyer says parts of the investigation lead police to believe it wasn’t a suspicious death.

However, until test results are confirmed, it remains suspicious.
