Bridgewater Salvation Army Needs More Volunteers

The Salvation Army in Bridgewater is putting out a call for help.

Major Wilson Sutton says their volunteers have been working hard since the end of November.

As Christmas approaches, they need some relief.

Major Sutton says it’s a critical time of year.

“Our Christmas kettle program is money that we use to help needy families at Christmas,” he says, “and what we don’t use at Christmas, basically, is used throughout the year.”

The money raised goes towards grocery vouchers and to help families struggling with medical costs.

Major Sutton says they are half way to their sixty thousand dollar goal.

To volunteer, call the Bridgewater Salvation Army.
