Drivers in Bridgewater will need to be extra patient this week.
The old bridge will be closed until Wednesday.
Patrick Hirtle from the Town of Bridgewater says this will allow construction crews to connect all the water pipes that have been installed over the last few months.
He says it’s a sign that things will soon be back to normal.
“I think people are starting to get excited now because they can actually see or get an ided for what the finished project is going to look like.”
A section of King Street will also be closed from Dominion to Dufferin.
Hirtle says pedestrians will still be able to access the side of the old bridge.
The $5-million project is scheduled to wrap up by the end of the month.
