Broadcaster, Comedian Jim Ralph Headlines Lumberjacks Dinner and Auction

A former professional hockey player and Toronto Maple Leafs broadcaster will headline an event to support the South Shore Lumberjacks.

Jim Ralph is known for his impersonations of sports personalities including Don Cherry and Bob Cole.

He will provide some of those performances and reflect on his career during a Celebrity Dinner and Auction on November 7.

Team owner Larry Creaser expects a different evening from last year with Bob Gainey.

“I think it will be an entertaining evening for everybody. This guy is generally funny for every age group.”

This is a major fundraiser for the Junior ‘A’ hockey club.

Ralph spent time playing in the AHL and was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1980.

When he retired from hockey, he chose to start a career in broadcasting.

Ticket information will be released this week.
