Bridgewater’s Mayor Looks To Federal Budget

The Town of Bridgewater is starting to discuss priorities for this year’s capital budget.

The list includes everything from road repair projects to a new fire truck.

Mayor David Walker says the federal budget will help determine what will receive funding.

“We’ll look at projects that we have that might not be on the books for this year,” he says, “but say ‘does it make sense to move them up a bit, because we can get cost sharing with other levels of government.”

Walker says they have to make sure things that need attention now don’t get put off.

The federal budget will be tabled tomorrow afternoon.
