South Shore NDP MLAs Given New Legislature Roles

A pair of NDP MLAs in the South Shore have new roles to fill at province house.

Chester – St. Margaret’s MLA, Denise Peterson-Rafuse, is the party’s deputy house leader.

Peterson-Rafuse was first elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2013.

She has served as Minister of Community Services and Minister of Seniors.

Meanwhile, Sterling Belliveau, MLA for Queens-Shelburne will serve as caucus whip.

Belliveau has been an MLA since 2006.

The legislature’s spring sitting starts on April 14.
