A slow start in the case against suspended Bridgewater Police Chief John Collyer.
Defense lawyer David Bright appeared on behalf of the 53-year-old this morning in provincial court.
Collyer is facing charges of sexual assault and sexual exploitation involving a 17 year-old girl after a nine-month SiRT investigation.
Bright told the judge he needed more time to go over the evidence.
The case has been put over to July 27 when Collyer is expected to enter a plea.
