Charges Laid After New Year’s Day Home Invasion In Lunenburg

A 33 year-old man has been charged after a home invasion on New Year’s Day in Lunenburg.

RCMP Sergeant Bruce Briers says Chris Levy of First Peninsula remains in custody after he was arrested on January 1.

A man and two women entered a Fox Street residence around 6:50 Sunday morning and assaulted two people.

They suffered minor injuries.

Briers says Levy will face charges of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offense, breach of an undertaking and two counts of assault.

He will appear in court on Friday.

Meanwhile, the two women involved, aged 27 and 30, of Hebbville were arrested earlier this week and released.

They are due in court on February 8 to face similar charges.
