A new inn is being proposed in the village of Chester.
Investors are asking the Municipality of Chester to re-zone property at 58 Duke Street.
It needs to be zoned central commercial before the project can proceed to the next step.
Tim Harris, owner of Tradewinds Realty, presented to council and says it would enhance the village.
“It will supply jobs and provide room nights so people stay and shop, rather than coming for an hour and walking around and saying there is no place to stay.”
The inn would include eight rooms, along with a restaurant and parking.
A public meeting to discuss the project will be held at 7 p.m tonight at Chester council chambers.
