Chester residents will be sporting their finery this weekend.
The Chester Playhouse’s annual fundraiser Galapolooza will be held once again at the Captain’s House Saturday evening from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
Playhouse Executive Director Lisa Gleave says the community really gets behind the fundraising effort.
“The Chester Dines is also back and that is a really interesting part of the event. Local Chester residents, they open their homes and they put on a dinner for eight to ten people.”
People can bid on those dinners as well enjoying the party, live music, food, raffles and ring toss.
Gleave says the event is essential to the keeping the lights on at the Playhouse.
“The money that we raise that evening is really what supports the Playhouse throughout the year.”
The Captain’s House will also host a “pay what you will” family fun day on Sunday.
