Committee Recommendation Could See Bridgewater Students Heading To Park View

Grade 10-12 students at Bridgewater Junior-Senior High School could soon be headed to Park View.

The committee conducting the review for both families of schools passed a motion, making that recommendation.

Eleven committee members voted in favour while seven were against and two were absent.

However, the South Shore Regional School Board still has to make the final decision.

Superintendent Geoff Cainen says the public will also have their say tomorrow night.

“The role of the public at this meeting will be to hear the recommendation and then see if they have any input on how that recommendation could actually be tweeked.”

The committee will hold its last public meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Hebbville Academy.

A recommendation will then be finalized before making its way to the school board on April 27.

The board will receive the recommendation that night and will have 30 days to make a decision.
