The former ferry operator in Yarmouth has filed for bankruptcy.
Nova Star Cruises went bankrupt on April 13, according to trustee Deloitte Restructuring.
The first meeting of creditors is scheduled to be held on May 4 in Yarmouth.
The Nova Scotia government gave Nova Star Cruises $39.5-million over the two years it operated the ferry link to Portland, Maine.
Last fall, the company said it owed nearly $200,000 to Nova Scotia vendors.
