Community Members Named For Review Process

Community members have been chosen for the reviews of the Bridgewater and Park View families of schools.

REMO Coordinator Heather Mackenzie-Carey will serve as Park View’s representative while Bridgewater’s will be lawyer Kathryn Dumke.

They will both help the School Options Committee conduct the review.

Superintendent Geoff Cainen says they are well-qualified.

“People who are involved in the community, don’t have students currently in the system but have open minds and are used to looking at large amounts of data.”

Cainen says community members will be able to provide balance and allow for an outside perspective.

Both committees are expected to begin their reviews next Thursday.

Meanwhile, the people chosen for the Big Tancook Island school review will be revealed next week.
