Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is looking for 100 couples who give a crap in Lunenburg county.
The fundraiser is in its second year, helping support people with inflammatory bowel disease.
A dinner, silent auction along with a live band and dance will be held April 30 at the Best Western in Cookville.
Organizer Jody O’Donnell got involved because his son is affected.
But, that’s not the only reason.
“We also have one of the highest rates of Crohn’s and Colitis in the world in Lunenburg county, so I think it’s very important that we take after fundraising and try to find a cure.”
O’Donnell has set a fundraising goal of $15,000 after raising close to $10,000 during the inaugural event last year.
Tickets cost $125 per couple and are about 50 percent sold at this time.
