CTV Sports, Weather Anchor Retiring Following Lunenburg Broadcast

Lunenburg is about to be home to a special broadcast.

The sports and weather anchor for the CTV morning show, Jeff Hutcheson, is retiring and chose the town for his final stop in a cross-Canada tour.

Hutcheson is retiring after 40 years in the industry.

The live broadcast goes Tuesday morning from 7 a.m until 10 a.m near the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic.

“Lunenburg has always held a soft spot for me. It’s near and dear to me. It’s kind of the essence of what Nova Scotia is and what Maritime life is.”

Hutcheson is expected to get a lesson in scallop shucking and tour some of his favourite places in the town.

He plans on living in Charlottetown and hopes to spend time golfing and travelling with his wife.
