A victorious season by the Mary Fay curling team was rewarded by Sport Nova Scotia.
The organization’s annual RICOH Sport awards were handed out Saturday night in Halifax.
The curlers won the team of the year award after winning gold at the provincial, national and world junior championships.
Mary Fay of Chester received the honour of female team athlete of the year.
Andrew Atherton, also of Chester, won coach of the year for guiding the Fay team to victory.
More than 180 athletes, coaches, officials, associations, and volunteers from across the province were honoured during the ceremony.
