A Lunenburg county man has won the grand prize cottage in the QEII Home Lottery.
Gary Wentzell of Auburndale is the proud new owner of the property on Skipper Hill Drive in Chester Basin.
The cottage is completely furnished with three bedrooms, stone fireplace, garage, pool table and deeded access to an oceanfront wharf.

It is worth $690,000.
Wentzell says it’s an unbelievable feeling.
“I’m amazed. I’ve been buying tickets for many, many years and never expected to win something like this.”
Wentzell has purchased tickets for the QEII Home Lottery for as long as he can remember.
He’s won several times but never this big.
The cottage has an ocean view and Wentzell describes it as a castle compared to his current house.
He also received $10,000 and unlimited golf for one year from Chester Golf Club.
