The Municipality of Lunenburg wants families to play outside together this weekend.
The recreation department is hosting a Family Outdoor Day.
This event will allow kids and parents to participate in a wide range of outdoor activities, like archery and geocaching.
Program coordinator Janice Rand says the goal is to inspire the community to stay active.
“We hope it will get people interested in outdoor activities. Maybe they’ll buy a canoe or join an archery club.”
This is the first of many events planned for the summer.
Their recreation guide will be available to the public on June 2nd.
