Fears That Death Toll May Rise After Earthquake Strikes Central Italy

Crews continue to search for survivors after a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck central Italy.

The death toll currently stands at 38, but it is feared that number will rise. Over 150 people are still missing.

The earthquake struck early this morning and many aftershocks have followed.

The Mayor of Amatrice, Italy says the commuity has been left in ruins, because half the town is gone.

There’s no word yet if any Canadians have been impacted, but the Embassy of Canada to Italy is tweeting information on where you can go for assistance if you have friends or family in Italy.
