Queens: Search and Rescue Crews Looking For Wayne Jacob Zong

Ground search and rescue teams from Queens, North Queens and Lunenburg are looking today for Wayne Jacob Zong.

The 55 year-old was reported missing a week ago after he left his home on New Grafton Road and didn’t return.

Staff Sergeant Derek Smith with Queens RCMP says roughly 25 people are involved, scouring areas in Kempt on the New Grafton and Martin Roads.

“We have had some people call in with some tips that we’ve eliminated and we are certainly encouraging anybody who may have any information to give us a call as soon as possible.”

Smith adds, police are optimistic but the situation doesn’t look good.

“We are very concerned for Mr. Zong’s welfare. It has been a week that he has been missing and that is a very long time to be missing.”

Zong is white, 5 foot 10, 150 pounds, slender with shoulder length brown hair and clean shaven.

He was last seen wearing a black or green t-shirt with blue writing on the front, blue jeans and black army boots.

If you have details about Mr. Zong’s whereabouts, you can call Queens RCMP at 902-354-5721 .
