First Shift Program Coming Back To Bridgewater

A six week program introducing youth to hockey is being offered in Bridgewater.

Bauer Hockey and Hockey Canada are bringing the First Shift to the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Center.

It’s open to youth ages six to 10 years-old.

Minor Hockey President Mike Conklin says it’s a great initiative.

“It will help grow interest in Canada’s game and hopefully it will give kids a want to join our minor hockey system and play with their friends.”

The cost is $199 but includes six weeks of ice time and brand new hockey gear for the kids.

It’s the second year in a row that the program is in Bridgewater.
