Fogelson Trial Postponed Until October

A trial involving a retired educator accused of sexually assaulting a male has been postponed.

Brian David Fogelson was expected to attend Nova Scotia Supreme Court this week for the two-day judge only trial but it was pushed to the fall.

It will resume October 2 and 3.

Fogelson is also due in Bridgewater Provincial Court on September 15 for allegedly sexually assaulting a second male minor.

He faces charges including two counts of indecent assault, two counts of gross indecency and buggery – the legal term in Canada for sodomy.

The charges date back to allegations from the mid-1970s.

Fogelson was a teacher in Mahone Bay and Lunenburg before eventually moving to the United States to become a superintendent in New Jersey.
