It’s a free fishing weekend coming up in Nova Scotia.
You don’t need a license to fish Saturday, Sunday or Monday.
In Lunenburg county, residents can learn about ice fishing on Sucker Lake in Upper Northfield.
Ron Seney is a registered fishing and hunting guide – and says it’s an opportunity to be introduced to the sport.
Seney says it’s important to dress warm and adds there will be fishing gear available to use for the day.
It will be held starting at 9am on Saturday.
If you would like to attend phone the Municipality of Lunenburg 902.541.1314.
