The scores were low but fundraising was high for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the South Shore.

The organization held their 16th Annual Golf for Kids Sake tournament Thursday at Osprey Ridge.

More than 100 golfers teed it up for 18 holes with the winning score of 22 under-par.

Executive Director Vanessa Mossop says people helped make the event a success.

“So, thisis helping to continue to keep our doors open and it just helps continue to do what we do and that’s provide mentors and friendships to kids in Lunenburg and Queens counties.”

A fundraising total hasn’t been determined but Mossop believes it is close to their $16,000 goal.

She says Big Brothers Big Sisters is planning to hold another tournament next year.
