Group Raises Money To Build Rain Garden In Bridgewater

A local group is fundraising to build a rain garden in Generations Active Park in Bridgewater.

Amy Buckland-Nicks is with Bluenose Coastal Action.

She says the proposed rain garden will help divert excess storm water.

“During heavy rainfall events, like we have to day,” she says, “the water running over your lawn will recharge the ground more quickly.”

Her group has already raised over a thousand dollars of the $3,600 they need.
