Halifax Man Creates Website to Say “Thanks” To Gord Downie And The Tragically Hip

A Tragically Hip fan is hoping other fans will come together to say thanks to Gored Downie and the band.

Jeff Middleton has created www.raiseoneforgord.com. Simply go to the website, and use your phone, laptop, tablet, or desktop, record your video and then hit submit.

Many fans have already jumped onboard to upload their videos, that includes two well known astronauts, “Chris Hadfield and Jeremy Hansen, they both made a video around the campfire. They raised a glass to Gord Downie and said thanks.”

Middleton says he was raised on the tunes of the Tragically Hip and their music has been a big part of his life, “Going up to the trailer, and my dad blasting the tunes on the radio. That brings back strong memories.”

The Tragically Hip announced their summer tour, after revealing that Gord Downie has terminal brain cancer.

Their tour will wrap up on August 20th in Kingston.
