Local hockey teams are off to New Brunswick today for the start of the Monctonian ‘AAA’ Challenge.
The O’Regan’s Subaru Western Hurricanes and Charlie’s Pizza South Shore Mustangs both lace up their skates in the tournament.
The Mustangs open up play today against the East Coast Blizzard at 2pm in the major midget division.
The Hurricanes, meanwhile, suit up versus the Landworks Gulls in the major bantam division at 3:30.
The tournament, which is marking its 36th year, features teams from across Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Quebec.
