The first baby of 2017 in the South Shore is a girl.
Chanel Victoria Williams was born at 10:32 a.m. on January 1 at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.
The proud parents are Shona Banfield and her fiance, Nathan Williams of Hebbville.
Banfield says their eight pound, four ounce new bundle of joy is doing great.
“She’s a really good baby and we love having her home. She’s adjusting to everything and that was the main thing that she’s healthy and we’re just glad to have her home with us.”
This is Banfield’s third child.
The 37 year-old also has a 13 year-old son and an 11 year-old daughter.
She says this is her fiance’s first child and he’s excited to be a dad.
