It’s nomination day for municipal election candidates.
Those wishing to run for mayor, council or school board need to have their papers filed at their local returning office by 5 p.m.
If a candidate does not wish to run after filing papers, they have the day tomorrow to back out.
There are 11 towns or municipalities in Lunenburg, Queens and Shelburne counties.
The elections are scheduled for Saturday October 15.
