Many people are getting ready for the sportfishing season, looking for bragging rights after hooking the big fish or telling tales about the ‘one that got away’g.
If you’re one of those, mark your calendar for April the first, the start of the 2019 season in Nova Scotia.
Keith Colwell, the minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture said sportfishing can be enjoyed by people of all ages, making it a great family experience and is one of the most popular activities in the province.
According to the department, over 66 thousand licence’s were sold last year, generating about $66.5 million in revenue.
Licence’s can be purchased from local vendors and at Department of Lands and Forestry offices throughout the province.
