Hurricane Hermine has been downgraded to a tropical storm after making landfall in Florida.
The remnants of that storm is expected to track across southern Nova Scotia sometime next week.
There are tropical cyclone information statements in effect for several areas including Halifax, Yarmouth, Lunenburg, Queens and Shelburne counties.
The public is being urged to keep an eye on the storm over the weekend for any major changes to the forecast.
