Officials still don’t know what caused Sunday night’s fire on King Street in Bridgewater.
A structural engineer determined the structure was unsafe to enter so a drone and a backhoe were used to examine the exterior of the building.
An exact point of origin couldn’t be determined and the Bridgewater Fire Service and the Fire Marshal’s Office say the fire will remain suspicious in nature.
They’ve since turned the investigation over to Bridgewater Police.
The building is scheduled to be demolished later today.
King St from Old Bridge to Phoenix will be closed for vehicle and pedestrian traffic on the west side until the scene can be made safe.
Bridgewater Police Service is asking anyone with information about the fire to come forward.
