A well known author is coming to Lunenburg county.
Lawrence Hill, author of Book of Negroes, will be at the Fisheries Museum on Saturday.
Jeff Mercer, Deputy Chief Librarian for South Shore Public Libraries, says they hope to inspire budding authors.
“He came from humble beginnings,” he says. “It shows that if this is your passion, and this is what you want to follow you can make it happen.”
There will be a gala tomorrow night with proceeds going to help fund library programs.
However, if you can’t afford a ticket there will be a reading and book signing in the afternoon.
