There is a new tenant moving into the Town Hall Arts and Cultural Centre in Liverpool.
The Region of Queens has approved a three-year lease agreement with Julie Babin, and her business The Welcome Matte Frame Shop.
She will coordinate with artists and the public to provide art shows and workshops at the centre.
Mayor David Dagley says it’s a win-win situation.
“She will also be able to book attractions and that certainly will be reducing the effort required by staff in the Region of Queens to maintain usage of the Town Hall Arts and Cultural Centre.”
Babin will have exclusive use of the workshop room in the centre along with shared use of office and storage space.
The municipality is finalizing details on when Babin can move in.
The Astor Theatre and the Sipuke’l Gallery are also tenants in the cultural centre.
