Lockeport Mayor Hoping To Add More Positive Signs Around Town

The mayor of Lockeport is hoping to add more positive messaging around town.

George Harding requested to council to remove “No Overnight Parking” and “No Overnight Camping” signs.

“They really do send a negative message to people who are visiting our community for the first time,” says Harding.

“There is no real need for it.”

Harding says once or twice during the summer, RVs might come into town and park late at night.

He says he would like to see new signs installed that say “We value our Children, Please Drive Carefully.”

Harding says the cost wouldn’t be too high and the public works department would install them.
