A four goal first period helped propel the Amherst Ramblers to a 5-2 win Tuesday night over the South Shore Junior ‘A’ Lumberjacks.
Head Coach and General Manager, Kyle McAllister, says the quick start by the Ramblers was the difference.
“They came out with a lot of energy and they pushed the pace early and took it to us,” says McAllister.
“We just couldn’t keep up and we dug ourselves too deep of a hole.”
Bair Gendunov and Riley Gill scored for the ‘Jacks and Ty Grant stopped 43 shots.
The Lumberjacks lead the best-of-seven, two games to one.
Game four will be played Thursday night at 7 p.m at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre.
