Lumberjacks Face Pictou With Playoff Berth In Sight

The South Shore Junior ‘A’ Lumberjacks are close to clinching a playoff spot.

The ‘Jacks hold a two point advantage over the Crushers and a win tonight in Pictou would secure a spot in the post-season.

Head Coach and General Manager, Kyle McAllister, says it’s crunch time for his players.

“We control our own fate, we need a win to secure a spot,” says McAllister.

“It’s been playoff hockey for us for the last few weeks now. We put ourselves in a position we wanted to be in and we’re hoping we can get it done tonight.”

McAllister says it’s been hectic and even stressful for the club over the last few weeks battling to get into playoff position.

But he hopes they can keep the momentum going with a victory tonight.

The game starts at 7 p.m. in Pictou.
