A boating accident has claimed the life of a Lunenburg County man.
RCMP says shortly after 9:00am yesterday, a 73-year old man was fishing with a woman near Dean Lake Road in Westfield, Queens County.
While attempting to start the motor, both of them fell into the water.
The two swam to shore but when the woman arrived she realized the man was not with her.
She managed to bring him to land and called 9-1-1.
Paramedics were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was taken to hospital and was treated for minor injuries.
