Lunenburg District RCMP Responded To An Accident On Highway 103

One vehicle went off the road on Highway 103 near Maitland this morning.

The vehicle lost control and clipped a transport truck.

Lunenburg District RCMP responded to the accident.

Sgt. Mark MacPherson says rain mixed with snow and falling temperatures can quickly change driving conditions.

“We always have to be mindful of that little bit of slush that may be in certain areas on the highway,” he says.

“If you get caught in that and you’re going too fast, or if you get caught in a trough of water you could hydroplane.”

He says there were no injuries and the transport truck pulled off to the side of the road.

MacPherson reminds motorists to adjust their driving for the winter conditions.
