Lunenburg Town council is looking to fill the seats.
Three councillors will not be re-offering in this fall’s municipal election and there are not enough candidates running to fill the vacancies.
Mayor Rachel Bailey encourages anyone who is interested to run.
“Certainly not a small commitment to make, but it has a very great benefit as far as rewarding experience and doing something very positive for your community.”
Bailey says sitting on council is a great way to serve your community.
“Municipal government is grass-roots operation of your community and we need people to step up.”
Elections are October 15th and candidates must declare their intent to run by September 13th.
