Bragging rights are up for grabs in a contest to name the best places in the country.
The Canadian Institute of Planners wants people to nominate their favourite street, neighbourhood, or attraction.
President Eleanor Mohammed says people just know when a place is special.
“You feel that it’s great,” she says. “You don’t really know or think about what goes into making that great place, you just know that it’s great.
She says a panel of planners will also be selecting the places they feel are best planned.
Places Nova Scotia has been recognized three times since 2011
