An email to supporters says the Pearl Theatre in Lunenburg will close at the end of this year.
The message from HB Studios owner, Jeremy Wellard talks about his passion for the theatre he opened in 2002.
The building was abandoned and contained an old disused theatre.
Wellard renovated and added it to the operation of his video game company HB Studios as a passion project.
Wellard retired this year and is handing the 4,000 square foot space back to the new HB Studios management team to use as they see fit.
The Pearl Theatre was operated by volunteers and home to the South Shore Players and many Folk Harbour concert
